The Bulls play the opener of a three-game set against the Gwinnett Braves in the third and final series of a season-long 11-game road trip. Durham is 2-6 over the first eight games of the road swing, and just 4-8 since the All-Star Break. The Bulls have dropped 24 of their last 36 contests to go from a 2.0-game lead in the IL South to an 8.5-game deficit, tied for their largest division deficit of the season. Gwinnett - the Atlanta Braves' top affiliate - is 6-5 since the All-Star break, but is coming off a three-game sweep of Charlotte at Coolray Field. The G-Braves enter today not in sole possession of 4th place in the IL South for the first time since 4/18.
