Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The IronPigs (46-56) take to the road for Game 1 of a two-game series -- and a four-game, home-and-home series -- against the first-place Scranton-WB RailRiders (56-47) at PNC Field... With a 5-4 loss to Syracuse in 13 innings last night, the Pigs snapped their seven-game winning streak over the Chiefs. But they still took the three-game series, 2-1, and finished 4-3 on the seven-game homestand. The surging Pigs have won 17 of their last 25 affairs and sport the IL's best record (24-14) since June 14 after falling back to their low-water mark (22-42) of the season... The RailRiders -- the Yankees' top affiliate -- used a 2-1 win yesterday to sweep Syracuse in a three-game, home series and extend their winning streak to five games after an 8-16 skid from June 25 to July 21. In fact, with a win tonight, the RailRiders will tie their season-high, six-game winning streak set June 8-13.

LHP Anthony Vasquez (6-3, 4.06) will start for LHV against RHP Esmil Rogers (1-0, 3.38).

First Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
