
Clayton Gillmore Signs with Tri-City

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 2007-born forward Clayton Gillmore to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Gillmore, from West Kelowna, B.C., was drafted by the Americans in 2022, 156th overall in the eighth round. Playing for the U15 Okanagan Rockets of the BCEHL U15 in 2021-22, Gillmore had a strong season with 39 points (21-18-39) in 30 games. He then added six more points (2-4-6) in seven playoff games.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Gillmore had a smooth transition to the U17 level in 2022-23, posting 43 points (22-21-43) in 36 games with the U17 Okanagan Rockets. He added three points (1-2-3) in seven playoff games to help the Rockets win the U17 BCEHL Championship.
"Clayton is a power forward with good offensive skills," said Tory. "He had an excellent training camp and has earned this opportunity."
Tri-City's first pre-season game goes this weekend when they travel to face the Everett Silvertips Friday night.
