
Armaan Kaila Signs with Tri-City

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 2007-born goaltender Armaan Kaila to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Kaila, from Ladner, B.C., was added to the Americans 50-man protected list during the 2022-23 season. Playing in 16 games for Delta Hockey Academy's U17 Prep team, Kaila posted an 11-5-0 record with a 3.05 goals against average and a .894 save percentage. He was at his best during the playoffs last season, going 2-0-1 with a 1.82 goals against average and a .942 save percentage in three games.
He also had a strong post-season performance in 2021-22 with Delta Hockey Academy's U15 program, going 5-0 with a 1.80 goals against average and a .935 save percentage to help his team win the CSSHL U15 Championship.
"Armaan came to Kennewick and had an outstanding performance at training camp. He earned this," said Tory.
Tri-City's first pre-season game goes this weekend when they travel to face the Everett Silvertips Friday night.
