GLENDALE, AZ (March 15, 2012) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the winners of the 2012-13 Athletic Trainer of the Year and Gunner Garrett Equipment Manager of the Year awards as determined from voting among the equipment managers and athletic trainers in the CHL.

Arizona's Vince Fedorowich has been selected the Athletic Trainer of the Year and for the third consecutive season, Rapid City's Romeo Vivit has been voted the Gunner Garrett Equipment Manager of the Year.

Voting was conducted by the CHL's Hockey Operations department which asked all athletic trainers and equipment managers in the league to rank the top workers in each category, one to three. Vivit is in his fourth season as the equipment manager with the Rush and last year he was the first person to win the award twice and now he breaks his own record by winning the award a third time. The Park Ridge, Illinois native served as the Hockey Director for the City of Rapid City and as a volunteer coach, skills developer and consultant for the Rushmore Thunder Youth Hockey Association.

The National American University (Rapid City, SD) graduate earned 24 points in the voting process garnering half of the first place votes cast. Finishing in second place was Arizona's Bryan Connor with 12 points.
