Chihuahuas Use two-Out Hits to Top Salt Lake

The El Paso Chihuahuas fell behind 1-0 early before scoring seven unanswered runs to beat the Salt Lake Bees 7-1 Wednesday. El Paso won two of the three games at Smith's Ballpark to take a 4.5-game first place lead in the Southern Division standings with 18 games to play.

Five of the Chihuahuas' seven runs came on two-out RBI hits. Forrestt Allday and Luis Urias reached base three times each atop the El Paso order with two hits and a hit by pitch from both. Kyle Lloyd allowed only one run in four innings and has let in only one run in 11 innings since returning from the disabled list.

The Bees entered the series with the most hits and runs in the Pacific Coast League but the Chihuahuas' pitching staff held Salt Lake to only eight runs in the three games. The Chihuahuas are now 52-28 all-time versus Salt Lake and have a 30-11 record at Smith's Ballpark.
