From the Notes
Snapped at 15: Last night's loss to Round Rock snapped the Sounds' winning streak at 15 games. The streak will go into the record books as tied for the longest in franchise history. The 2018 team will share the mark with the 1999 Sounds team that won 15 straight June 2-20.
Barreto at 19: Infielder Franklin Barreto has reached base safely in each of the last 19 games he has played in for Nashville. Since July 5, Barreto is hitting .292 (19-for-65) with 19 runs scored, 18 RBI, 7 home runs, 4 doubles and 13 walks. His on-base percentage during the stretch is .424 and his OPS is 1.100.
Powell at 21: Outfielder Boog Powell has reached base safely in all 21 games he has played in with the Sounds. Powell is hitting .256 (21-for-82) with 13 runs, 5 RBI, 1 double and 17 walks. Powell's on-base percentage is .384.
The Friendly Confines: Tonight's starter, Daniel Mengden, has found success at First Tennessee Park. In three home games (two starts), Mengden is 3-0 with a 2.08 ERA (17.1 IP/4 ER) with 15 strikeouts and only two walks. On the road, he's 1-1 with a 5.50 ERA (18.0 IP/11 ER) with 11 strikeouts and four walks.
Rare Defeat: Despite holding the Express to only three runs last night, the Sounds suffered a rare loss. Only 11 of Nashville's 56 losses on the season have come when the opponent has scored three or less runs. Overall, Nashville is 38-11 when holding their other team to three or less.

In the midst of a whirlwind year, A's top prospect and @nashvillesounds pitcher @Baby_Jesus9 has find purpose and motivation on the mound through tragedy. My story for @NC5: https://www.newschannel5.com/sports/top-prospect-luzardos-trying-year-lands-him-in-nashville

That @nashvillesounds loss was on me @MickeyRyan1045. I may as well have just walked on the chalk line after our radio interview on @3HL1045. Broke all the rules of baseball superstition.
