The El Paso Chihuahuas had a double-digit hit total for the third consecutive game Sunday and beat the Las Vegas 51s, 9-6. It was the Chihuahuas sixth consecutive win and their ninth straight road victory, a team record.

Brett Nicholas went 2-for-3 with two walks, a home run and three RBIs. Nicholas has a team-leading six home runs and 20 RBIs in his 16 games with El Paso. Luis Urias reached base four times Sunday, with a single, two walks and his second homer of the season. Brett Kennedy struck a double in the fifth inning, the third consecutive game that El Paso's starting pitcher had an extra-base hit.

El Paso is now 10-1 in road games this year and 9-0 when scoring first. The Chihuahuas have outscored their opponents 33-13 in the last three games.
