Reno Aces News Release

Today's Game: Staring down the barrel of the longest second longest los-ing streak in team history, Greg Gross sends right-hander Troy Scribner to the mound this afternoon to face the first place Fresno Grizzlies. The aces offense will face Francis Martes for the third time this season. Reno has re-corded 10 hits and five runs against the right-hander from Cotui, Dominican Republic.

About Last Night: The Reno Aces (4-13) welcomed the Fresno Grizzlies (13-4) to town Saturday afternoon in front of a crowd of 6,038. Taylor Clarke got the start for Reno, tossing five innings and allowing three runs. Unfor-tunately for Clarke and the Aces, Fresno finished with seven runs on eleven hits and gave Reno their 13th loss of the season. Yesterday's loss is Reno's ninth consecutive, which ties the franchise record previously set in 2010.

Record-breaking Start: Through 17 games, no Aces team has ever started worse than 4-13. The last time Reno started worse was in 2011, when the team went 5-12 to start the year. Reno's team ERA in 2018 is 6.48, 14th in the Pacific Coast League. Reno's team .241 batting average is in the middle of the pack league-wide, with Oklahoma City (.302), Fresno (.302), and Albu-querque (.302) at the top of the table.

If this, then that: The Aces are undefeated when Christian Walker is in the lineup, albeit only two games this season. Reno has not done well after his departure, collecting a 2-13 record. Day games have not been kind to Reno, dropping their seventh consecutive sun-filled contest. Reno has yet to col-lect a win on Monday's, Wednesday's, Saturday's or Sunday's this season. With two jersey options at home, the Aces are 2-2 when wearing 'Aces' white this season and 0-6 when wearing the 'Reno' Navy's.

Nevada Fútbol Natives: Last night, Reno 1868 FC, Reno's professional soc-cer team, earned their first win of the 2018 season. Danny Musovski, a Hen-derson, NV native, scored two goals (brace) in a 2-1 victory over the Port-land Timbers 2. Reno 1868 FC returns home to Greater Nevada Field on April 28 to take on OKC Energy FC at 6:45 p.m. The first 1,868 fans will receive a free soccer ball courtesy of Renown Health and Hometown Health.

On The Horizon: Following an off day Tuesday, the Aces will head to Sac-ramento, California for a five-game series against the San Francisco Giants Triple-A affiliate. Sacramento will send Tyler Beede to the mound thursday night after two starts in the Big Leagues this season.
