
Chihuahuas Shut out Round Rock 8-0 Saturday

Five El Paso Chihuahuas pitchers combined to shut out the Round Rock Express 8-0 Saturday night at Dell Diamond. It was the Chihuahuas' third shutout of the season and their second win in the first five games of the series.
Miguel Cienfuegos made a spot start for the Chihuahuas and pitched three shutout innings. He was followed by Raul Brito, Carter Loewen, Francis Pena and José Espada, who all pitched scoreless relief outings and held Round Rock to only four hits. San Diego Padres outfielder Jason Heyward went 1-for-4 with a single and a hit by pitch as the designated hitter in his second MLB Injury Rehab game with El Paso. Center fielder Forrest Wall went 2-for-4 with a two-run double to extend his on base streak to 11 games.
Left fielder Yonathan Perlaza went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in the top of the third. Right fielder Bryce Johnson went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and has doubles in all four games he's played in this series. Round Rock pitching hit three Chihuahuas batters in the first three innings of the game. It was the first time this year more than two Chihuahuas batters were hit.
