
Chiefs Win On the Road 4-3 over Reading

Reading, PA- Bill Downey scored with 7:55 left in the third period to lift the Johnstown Chiefs to a 4-3 win over the Reading Royals, Friday night at the Sovereign Center. Downey, a senior at Penn State University was signed earlier today.
Steve Hildenbrand continued his scoring tear with two goals and an assist. P.L. Courchesne also scored for the Chiefs. Reading got a pair of goals from Leon Hayward, while Graig Mischler also scored.
Chiefs goaltender David Currie picked up his 14th win of the season making 28 saves. Royals goaltender Cody Rudkowsky made 27 saves.
The Chiefs move seven points ahead (78) of the Royals with a 36-19-6 record. Reading is now 31-21-9. Tickets are now on sale for all remaining Chiefs home games at the War Memorial Arena box office. Saturday night, the Chiefs will play host to Wheeling and Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., the Trenton Titans come to the War Memorial. For tickets call (814) 536-5156 or 1-800-SLAPSHOT.
