Chiefs Sign Former Penn State Star; Campbell Activated From Injured Reserve

Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today that they have signed former Penn State University star Bill Downey. Also the Chiefs have activated goaltender Cory Campbell from injured reserve.

Downey, 22, appeared in 34 games this season for Penn State, scoring 19 goals and 49 points. The 6'1, 175 LBS native of Pittsburgh, PA was recently named to the 2004 ACHA all-tournament team. Penn State lost 5-4,to Ohio University in last weeks ACHA championship game.

Campbell, 22, is 8-7-1, including four shutouts in 18 games with the Chiefs this season. The Stratford, ONT native has been sidelined since February 8th with an injury.

Both Downey and Campbell will be available for the Chiefs game tonight at Reading.

Tickets are now on sale for all remaining Chiefs home games at the War Memorial Arena box office.
