Chiefs Have Record Setting Win

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs set franchise records for most points (82) in a season and home wins in a season (24) with their 6-2 win over the Trenton Titans Sunday afternoon at the War Memorial.

Shawn Mather registered the Chiefs first hat trick of the season. Chris Leinweber, Jason Notermann and Dominic Forget also scored. Larry Courville added three assists. Trenton got goals from Jeff Smith and P.J. Martin.

Chiefs goaltender Cory Campbell made 22 saves for his 9th win of the season. Peter Hamerlik suffered the loss for the Titans making 18 saves.

The Chiefs improve their record to 38-19-6 while the Titans fall to 31-24-7.

The Chiefs hit the road for their next two games before returning back to home ice next Sunday afternoon (2:30 p.m.) when they host the Dayton Bombers. Wednesday night the Chiefs are in Atlantic City and Saturday night, Cincinnati. Mark Sunday, March 28th on your calendar as it is Jeff Sullivan Bobble head day. The first 2,000 people through the gate will receive a Jeff Sullivan bobble head, courtesy of Crown American and the Johnstown Renaissance Group.
