Johnstown Chiefs News Release

Johnstown, PA - With the Kelly Cup Playoffs right around the corner, the War Memorial will be rocking this weekend as the Chiefs host Cincinnati on Saturday and Trenton this Sunday.

The Chiefs beat Cincinnati on home ice last Friday in one of the most exciting victories of the season. Johnstown used a 1-0 shootout victory to cap a 4-3 win, and Ryan Nie tied a team record with his 25th win of the season. With the Cyclones looming as a potential second round opponent, the Chiefs will look to set the tone for that series with a great effort on Saturday.

That game will also feature the final Dodge Shootout of the season. You could be the lucky fan to come down to ice level, and shoot for a brand new Dodge vehicle!

The Trenton Devils, hunting for a playoff berth, come to the War Memorial for the final time this Sunday. The Chiefs are 3-1-0 at home against the Devils this season, and a win on Sunday would give Johnstown more home wins against Trenton than any other team in 07-08.

Be sure to get to the War Memorial early for that game as the first 1,000 fans will get a free Chiefs t-shirt courtesy of Uni-First! Also, you'll want to stay late because Sunday will be the final post-game "Skate with the Chiefs." Finally, as a special treat, Johnstown's very own classic rock band, "The Desparados" will be playing a pre and post-game concert. With so much going on, you can't afford to miss it!

Seats are available for both games and you can get yours by calling the War Memorial Box Office at 814-536-5156, or by going to www.johnstownchiefs.com.
