In his first professional season in 2006-07, Talbot was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team, finished second in voting for ECHL Rookie of the Year and was chosen to play in the ECHL All-Star Game. He led Alaska in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with nine goals, 11 assists and 20 points in 15 games after finishing tied for fourth among league rookies with 53 points (20g-33a) in 66 regular season games.
