Chiefs Beat Peoria 6-4

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs exploded for three third period goals as they went on to defeat the Peoria Rivermen 6-4, Friday night at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

The Chiefs got power play goals from Ian Manzano, Lukas Smital and Sam St. Pierre. Dominic Forget scored the game winner, while Vladimir Nemec added an empty net goal. Tyler Rennette scored two goals for Peoria, while Derek Booth and Josh Kern also tallied for the Rivermen.

Chiefs goaltender Peter Aubry made 41 saves for his 8th win of the season. Duane Derksen made 29 saves in goal for Peoria.

The Chiefs climb back to .500 with a 12-12-3 record. Peoria falls to 13-8-2 on the season.

Tomorrow night the Chiefs and the Rivermen will face each other again at the War Memorial. Face-off is at 7:30 p.m.
