
Chicago Red Stars Join U.S. Soccer for Women's World Cup Final Viewing Party

CHICAGO, Ill. (July 2, 2015) - The Chicago Red Stars have released details about their participation in U.S Soccer's Women's World Cup Viewing Party. U.S. Soccer will host a 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Viewing Party for the U.S. Women's National Team Final match against Japan on Sunday, July 5 at 3 p.m. The event will be located in Lincoln Park near the intersection of Stockton Drive and LaSalle Drive, just south of the Lincoln Park Zoo.
FanHQ will include various fan-focused activities, while U.S. Soccer merchandise, along with food, soft drinks, beer and other beverages will be available for purchase. The Red Stars will have player appearances from Alyssa Mautz and Michelle Dalton, as well as a Q&A session with Red Stars defender and New Zealand Captain, Abby Erceg. The Red Stars will also have giveaways such as NWSL and USWNT posters, some signed items from Red Stars USWNT players such as Julie Johnston and Christen Press, and smaller prizes that can be won from a prize wheel.
The viewing party will feature FOX's live feed of the match displayed on a giant 19-by-33 foot, high-definition screen. The game kicks off at 6 p.m. CT. The Final match against Japan will be played at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada. The watch party is free and open to the public.
