Seattle Reign FC Midfielder Kim Little Voted NWSL Player of the Month

CHICAGO (July 2, 2015) - Seattle Reign FC midfielder Kim Little was voted the National Women's Soccer League Player of the Month by the media for the month of June of the 2015 NWSL season.

Little, 25, has helped Seattle earn a 3-0-0 record in June to move into the number two spot in the standings with a 5-2-2 (17 pts.) overall record going into Week 12 of the campaign. In addition, Reign FC have a six-match unbeaten streak, and extended their home unbeaten run to 18 matches.

The Aberdeen, Scotland native registered three goals and one assist in the month. Little's first goal came on a penalty against Sky Blue FC, which Seattle won 3-0.

The University of Hertfordshire alum recorded her second goal and first assist of June during Week 10 against the Boston Breakers, with a crucial assist to teammate Jessica Fishlock who would score the final goal of the match, giving the Reign a 3-2 win on the road.

On June 27, Little scored her third goal of the month in a 2-1 win over FC Kansas City, firing a shot past the goalkeeper and into the roof of the net.

She is the only player from Seattle Reign FC to be named National Women's Soccer League Player of the Month. She received the honor three times during the 2014 season when she was named Player of the Month for April, May and July.

Seattle Reign FC will return to action Friday, July 3 at 7:00 p.m. ET against Western New York Flash at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, N.Y.
