Chevrolet Becomes Partner of CF Montréal
January 17, 2024 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - MLS and Chevrolet announced on Wednesday a new multi-year partnership agreement, making the world-class automotive brand the official Canadian partner of CF Montréal, and the other two Canadian MLS clubs, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Toronto FC.
As part of this partnership, MLS and Chevrolet will work together to advance the development of soccer in Canada through grassroots activations and national amplification.
Chevrolet will organize events at MLS academy training facilities that will provide youth players with an opportunity to meet league coaches and players. This community program will also aim to provide participants with unforgettable experiences at Centre Nutrilait in Montreal and create a content series chronicling the stories of young local CF Montréal players and their personal journeys to playing in MLS.
"CF Montréal and Chevrolet want to accompany and pave the way for young athletes towards professional soccer," said CF Montréal President and CEO Gabriel Gervais. "We want to combine our efforts to fuel the dreams of young people in a context where soccer continues to grow throughout the province. We are proud to join forces with Chevrolet, a company of this stature with a rich history of innovation and an inspiring track record."
The association between Chevrolet and CF Montréal will also be reflected throughout the various Chevrolet dealerships across Quebec.
"Chevrolet is proud to join forces with CF Montréal and participate in the growth of soccer throughout Quebec," said François Hamel, GM Director for Eastern Canada. "Team spirit, mutual aid and respect are some of the values that this sport instills in young people, and which define Chevrolet dealerships in Quebec. This agreement will create unique experiences for fans and athletes of all ages."
