
Checkers outshot 17-45 in 5-0 loss to Toledo

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Toledo Storm outshot the Charlotte Checkers 45-17 en route to a 5-0 win Sunday in front of 4,893 fans at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Jeff Attard scored the game winner at the 6:21 mark of the second period and followed that with another goal two minutes later.
The Storm added another goal in the second as Chris Blight scored a power-play goal at the 16:48 mark. Todd Jackson and Scooter Smith scored in the third period at the 7:14 and 13:55 mark, respectively, to cap off the scoring for Toledo.
Drew MacIntyre picked up his fourth win in six games with the Storm. Jeff Glass was the hard-luck loser for the Checkers and moves to 11-6-3 on the season.
