Checkers Offering 90 Cent Tickets for 1950s Night

January 10, 2017 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Charlotte Checkers News Release

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Checkers today announced that they will host "1950s Night" at Bojangles' Coliseum on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Tickets are available in categories of 90 cents and $1.25 and select concessions will be available starting at 50 cents.

Discounted concessions include 50 cent popcorn, 50 cent soda and $1 hot dogs. The game against the Milwaukee Admirals begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster and at the coliseum box office.

The event's theme honors the first days of professional hockey in Charlotte. Ticket pricing for the game is identical to that of the 1956-57 season played by the Eastern Hockey League's Charlotte Clippers, who later became the Checkers, at what is now Bojangles' Coliseum.

The Checkers begin a season-long, eight-game home stand on Friday, Jan. 13.
