Chase Signs on as Presenting Partner for FC Dallas Youth, Newest FC Dallas Signature Partner
August 8, 2014 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
FC Dallas News Release
FRISCO, Texas (Friday, Aug. 8) - Chase is the newest FC Dallas signature partner, focusing on the FC Dallas youth and college prep programs. The deal marks the bank's first sports sponsorship in the DFW Metroplex, as well as its first partnership with a Major League Soccer club.
The partnership provides support for FC Dallas' mission to provide top-notch athletic camps and clinics to local children who might otherwise never get the opportunity. The first community clinic will be on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Toyota Soccer Center with 200 children from North Texas Soccer Associations. Following the clinic, Chase will treat the community participants and their families to the FC Dallas match versus Colorado at Toyota Stadium.
"We've built our youth development system on a foundation beyond just soccer skills," said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt. "We work daily on instilling integrity, work ethic, sportsmanship, honor and respect. We want to give kids the support they need to succeed in any endeavor. We're proud of the 12 players from our youth system, who have gone on to sign with our professional team, but we're equally proud of the hundreds who have gone on to college and anticipate continuing to help boost thousands more towards their very bright futures. We are excited to find a partner in Chase that shares our community values and wants to join us in providing fresh opportunities for our youth."
As part of the bank's commitment to supporting youth in the community, Chase will be the presenting partner of FC Dallas Youth and FC Dallas Youth tryouts, which impacts thousands of local kids each season, with more than 4,000 kids playing in the FC Dallas development system.
Finally, Chase will also be the presenting partner of the FC Dallas college prep program directed by Scott Dymond. This spring 107 student-athletes from FC Dallas Youth, FC Dallas ESNL and FC Dallas Academy committed to attend college in fall 2014 with 90 percent of those athletes continuing their soccer careers at the collegiate level and most receiving some type of scholarship. While some of the FC Dallas student-athletes will attend out of state universities such as Harvard, Valparaiso and Notre Dame, many also chose to stay in Texas with commitments to SMU, University of Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor, among others.
"We are fans of FC Dallas and the great work the club does with the young people of metropolitan Dallas and Fort Worth," said Jay Clingman, president of Chase in Dallas. "We are partnering with an organization that shares our commitment to building a stronger community and providing greater opportunity for our kids."
Chase is one of 11 FC Dallas signature partners, joining AdvoCare, Toyota, Anheuser-Busch, Cricket Wireless, Dallas Morning News, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, MoneyGram, Texas Health Resources, Vazata and WinStar World Casino and Resort.
