ONTARIO, CA - The Canton Charge (6-1), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, grabbed their fourth consecutive win in a 107-104 victory over the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (4-3) at the Toyota Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Two-Way Player Tyler Cook posted his first double-double of the season with a game-high 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting with 10 rebounds and a pair of steals in his first start of the season. J.P. Macura tallied a double-double of his own by scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 boards with two steals in 33 minutes. Levi Randolph netted 22 points with six rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes. Malik Newman and Sheldon Mac each added 11 points for the Charge.
The Clippers had all five starters score in double figures, led by James Palmer Jr.'s team-high 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting with five assists and two steals in 40 minutes. Derrick Walton Jr. scored 19 points with seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 39 minutes. The Clippers had a trio of players post double-doubles in the losing effort: Donte Grantham with 12 points & 12 rebounds off the bench, Mfiondu Kabengele with 13 points & 10 rebounds and Johnathan Motley with 14 points & 10 boards.
