Hornets Assign Caleb Martin, Cody Martin and Jalen McDaniels to Greensboro Swarm

Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Mitch Kupchak announced today that the team has assigned forward Caleb Martin, guard Cody Martin and forward Jalen McDaniels to the Greensboro Swarm, the team's NBA G League affiliate.

Caleb Martin returns to the Swarm where he has appeared in three games with Greensboro averaging 19.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 blocks in 32.9 minutes per game. The rookie forward has three appearances with the Hornets where he holds averages of 1.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 8.3 min per game. Martin went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft and was signed by the Hornets on Oct. 19.

Cody Martin will join the Swarm where he has not appeared in a G League game so far this season. The rookie guard has 14 appearances with the Hornets this season where he has averaged 3.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 12.7 minutes per game. Martin was selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the 36th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

McDaniels returns to the Swarm where he has appeared in five games averaging 18.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.6 minutes per game. The San Diego State has made one appearance with the Hornets where he has totaled two points and a rebound in three minutes of play. McDaniels was drafted with the 52nd overall selection of the 2019 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets.

This marks Caleb Martin's fourth assignment, Cody Martin's second assignment and Jalen McDaniels third assignment to the G League of the 2019-20 season.

Also, Charlotte has transferred two-way players Robert Franks and Kobi Simmons to the Swarm.

NBA teams may have up to two players under NBA Two-Way Contracts who will spend the bulk of the season in the NBA G League and not more than 45 days with their NBA team.
