GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Oakland Athletics, have announced that pitcher Jose Guzman has been activated from the disabled list, while pitcher Josue Selenis has been placed on the disabled list with a right elbow injury. The squad's active roster stays at 25 players as the Cougars (24-16) continue the current six-game homestand with a 6:30 p.m. game against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Elfstrom Stadium.

Guzman has appeared in 10 games for the Cougars this season and has four saves, while Selenis has posted a 4-1 record with a 4.15 ERA in nine appearances.

A three-game series against the West Michigan Whitecaps begins tomorrow night at 6 p.m. as local product Casey Crosby (Kaneland HS) is expected to start for the Whitecaps and make his professional debut at Elfstrom Stadium. Another local high school standout, Cougars pitcher Kenny Smalley, is expected to pitch during Sunday evening's 6 p.m. game.
