Champs To Receive Rings Sunday Afternoon Before Game

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (November 6)- It's a weekend full of hockey against the Northern Conference for the Texas Brahmas beginning tonight in Amarillo. The fun will be capped off with a Championship Ring Presentation Sunday afternoon at the NYTEX Sports Centre.
Texas will battle the Gorillas at the Amarillo Civic Center tonight at 7:05 PM and fans can catch all the action on CHL-TV
or at ZuRoma Bar and Grill at the NYTEX Sports Centre. The Brahmas held a 4-0-1 record last season against their Northern primate foe with forward Jason Deitsch wrecking damage with two goals and three assists in three games.
On Saturday the Brahmas will return home to NYTEX and welcome goaltender Brett Jaeger back between the pipes following his stint with the Houston Aeros (AHL) and his one game suspension (served 11/6 in Amarillo). Fans can witness the Texas-Oklahoma battle that evening as the purple and black will take on the Tulsa Oilers for the first time this season at 7:05 PM. Tulsa is coming off a big shutout victory from Tuesday against Allen.
It will be the last hurrah Sunday afternoon for the 2008-2009 CHL Champions as they team will be presented with their Championship rings in a ceremony prior to the afternoon faceoff against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. This will be the second matchup between the I-20 rivals this year as the Brahmas took game one in Louisiana last week with a 6-4 victory.
