Tampa Bay Rowdies News Release
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Rowdies return home this weekend for their only home game in July as they to extend their stay at the top of the table against Saint Louis FC.
Here are a few of the biggest matches happening in the Eastern Conference this weekend.
Tampa Bay Rowdies vs. Saint Louis FC
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. | ESPN+
The Rowdies picked up a good point on the road against Pittsburgh, but will hope to get back to winning in a home match against Saint Louis FC. Tampa Bay will be without forward Juan Tejada, who will miss this match while on international duty.
Saint Louis FC made a run to the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals at the expense of its league campaign and has fallen to 11th place but with a number of games in hand. Saint Louis hasn't won a league match since April but cannot be underestimated.
Indy Eleven vs. Loudoun United FC
Saturday, 7 p.m. | ESPN+
The Eleven suffered an unexpected defeat to bottom-dwelling Hartford last weekend on the road and will hope to bounce back against a plucky Loudoun side.
Loudoun sits seven points off the current playoff line, but with an astonishing five games in hand over 10th place Charlotte. Loudoun has already won three road games this season and shouldn't be written off yet.
Memphis 901 FC vs. New York Red Bulls II
Saturday, 8:30 p.m. | ESPN+
Memphis has struggled in its inaugural season but could do the Rowdies a favor if it earns a result against New York. Memphis is just one point off the bottom of the table.
New York boasts the best attack in the Eastern Conference with 45 goals this season. The Red Bulls beat Memphis 3-2 in the first meeting this year.
