
Champions' Aumont Named Can-Am Pitcher of the Week

OTTAWA - Ottawa Champions RHP Phillippe Aumont has been named the Can-Am League's Pitcher of the Week for May 20-26.
Aumont threw nine strikeouts over six innings on Wednesday, giving up just one unearned run and no walks against the Rockland Boulders to bring his ERA to 0.75 on the season.
The 49 batters that the Gatineau native has faced are hitting just .243, with only one extra-base hit allowed.
The right-handed ace's next outing comes tonight at 7 p.m. as the Champions open a three-game series against the Rockland Boulders.
