Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - After two road games earlier this week, CF Montréal (6-4-2) will return home on Sunday to host Real Salt Lake (5-3-4) at 4pm EDT at Stade Saputo (TVA Sports, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).
The match will mark the start of a five-game home stand for the Montrealers, who will play a Canadian Championship quarterfinal match on Wednesday against Forge FC before facing FC Cincinnati next Saturday ahead of the international break.
Although the historic unbeaten streak came to an end after eight games in Nashville on Wednesday, the Club could extend its winning streak at Stade Saputo to four consecutive matches this season. Montreal has also never suffered a home loss to Salt Lake, winning the previous four games since 2012.
The visitors, who did not play in midweek, triumphed 2-1 last Saturday against Austin FC, the top team in the Western Conference.
CF Montréal will also take the opportunity to retire the number 12 on behalf of its supporters. The gesture will highlight the contribution of the Club's supporters with a permanent banner that will be displayed inside the stadium, serving as a reminder of the crucial contribution of the team's twelfth player each game.
The Club suggests arriving early, as access to the Olympic Park area and parking lots will be more congested on Sunday due to the Metro Metro Festival being held on the Olympic Stadium Esplanade. It is suggested that public transit users use the Viau metro station.
