CF Montréal in Nashvile Saturday for Third Consecutive Road Game
March 10, 2023 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Club de Foot Montreal News Release
NASHVILLE, Tennessee - CF Montréal will travel to Tennessee this weekend to take on Nashville SC on Saturday at 8:30pm ET at GEODIS Park (MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, CJAD 800).
Head coach Hernán Losada's men will be looking to pick up their first win of the season after suffering a 1-0 loss away to Austin FC last Saturday. This will Montreal's fourth visit to Nashville since the expansion club arrived in MLS in 2020.
Midfielder Mathieu Choinière, who started the last game against Austin, has now played 76 MLS games for the Club. He is three games away from tying the record for most matches played by a Homegrown player (Anthony Jackson-Hamel, 79 games).
CF Montréal has a 0-1-2 record (four goals scored, five goals conceded) in Tennessee. More specifically, of the seven teams Nashville has played at least five times in MLS (including playoffs), Montreal remains the only side that has never managed a win.
Nashville has also yet to concede a goal in 2023, having shut out New York City FC 2-0 on February 25 and the New York Red Bulls 0-0 on March 4.
Lastly, two CF Montréal alumni will be donning Nashville's jersey on Saturday. Defender Daniel Lovitz played 84 games with Montreal from 2017 to 2019 while his teammate, defender Nick DePuy, was selected by Montreal in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft and played five games with the Club.
