LOS ANGELES - After falling on the road to FC Dallas in their 2023 MLS Regular-Season opener, the LA Galaxy next square off against Sporting Kansas City on the road at Children's Mercy Park on Saturday, March 11 (5:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass). Notably, the Galaxy will debut the LA Kit for the first time this season in the match against Sporting KC on Saturday.
Saturday's match marks the 78th meeting across all competitions between the LA Galaxy and Sporting Kansas City, with the Galaxy leading the all-time series 31-29-17. Against Sporting KC, LA holds a 26-26-16 record in league play and a 5-3-1 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs. In the last meeting between the two sides, the Galaxy earned a 2-2 draw against Sporting KC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sept. 4, 2022. In 35 regular-season appearances at Kansas City, LA holds a 9-18-8 record. The last time the Galaxy won on the road at Children's Mercy Park, LA earned a 2-0 win on May 29, 2019.
