The Story:

The Lions enter Saturday night looking to extend their Club-record 270 minutes without conceding to start 2023 across all competitions. Across two league fixtures and the first leg of the Round of 16 of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League against Tigres UANL, six different defenders have occupied the backline to keep the City opposition off the board.

Goalkeeper Pedro Gallese has recorded three consecutive clean sheets to start the year, coming into Saturday night after an impressive outing in Monterrey on Tuesday. Gallese tallied eight saves to keep Tigres off the board, one shy of his single-game career high as a Lion.

Saturday night will serve as the third match in eight days for Orlando City.

Quote of the Week:

"The approach we have is that we want to go to D.C. and get the three points. That's the first thing we have in our minds and then we have Tigres [again] after that. But, the first main objective is to get three points against D.C. on the road. Right now we're traveling a lot and have a tight schedule, so managing the squad and having everyone ready to be the next man up is very important and we need everyone to get in there and give everything."

- Defender Robin Jansson
