Central Hockey League Announces Suspensions

GLENDALE, AZ (January 9, 2012) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the following disciplinary actions resulting from the Tulsa Oilers/Wichita Thunder game on Saturday, January 7:

Tulsa Oilers forward Gerome Giudice has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a spearing double minor penalty he received in the third period and he has been fined an undisclosed amount of money for an obscene gesture he made from the penalty box in the second period. As a result of his actions, Giudice will miss his team's next game on Saturday, January 14 versus Allen.

Wichita Thunder forward Erick Lizon has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions in the same altercation (Lizon received a roughing minor for his actions) coupled with receiving a recent notice of action regarding such activity. Lizon will miss his team's next game on Friday, January 13 at Rapid City.
