Americans All Star Cousineau Called up to Syracuse of the AHL

Allen Texas- The Allen Americans and Head Coach and GM Dwight Mullins announced today that goalie Marco Cousineau has been called up to Syracuse of the American Hockey League.

Marco Cousineau has played in seventeen games for the Americans, since being reassigned to Allen by Anaheim of the NHL. He has a record of 11-2-3 with a 2.70 GAA.

Cousineau has been a two-time award winner in the Central Hockey League since joining Allen. Marco was named the Oakley Goalie of the Week on November 15th, along with the Sher-Wood Goalie of the Month for November 2011.

Cousineau was named an CHL All Star Reserve last week, and was scheduled to play in his first professional All Star Game this Wednesday in Arizona.

The Americans return to action on Friday, January 13th at 7:05 PM in Missouri against the Mavericks. The next home game for the Americans is Monday January 16th at 1:05 PM vs Tulsa (Kids Day)

The Americans currently have four players on AHL call-up.
