
Center Noah Whyte added to Komet roster

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets acquired center Noah Whyte from the Port Huron Flags and added him to the roster today. Whyte, 24, started the season skating 30 games (4g, 4a, 51pim) at Quad City before being traded to Port Huron where he appeared in 11 games (2g, 6a, 17pim). Whyte began his pro career last season appearing in ECHL stints with Toledo (31gp, 1g, 4a, 38pim) and Pee Dee (21gp, 2g, 4a, 22pim). Whyte is expected to be in the lineup when the Komets face the Generals tonight at Flint.
The Komets also announced today that right winger Garrett Summerfield has been placed on waivers. Summerfield appeared in 8 games (0pts, 5pim) with the Komets since making his first pro appearance with Fort Wayne Jan. 7.
Komets on Michigan tour this weekend.....the Komets will play 3 games in 3 nights in Michigan this weekend starting with a 7:30pm faceoff at Flint tonight. Saturday the Komets skate at Muskegon at 7:40pm before heading to Fraser, Michigan to face the Motor City Mechanics Sunday at 5pm.
Komets on the air and web.....tonight's game at Flint will be aired on WOWO Radio AM 1190. Saturday's Komet game at Muskegon will also be carried on WOWO Radio AM 1190. Sunday's game at Motor City will be broadcast on ESPN Radio AM 1380. All Komet games broadcast on Fort Wayne radio can also be heard worldwide on the internet at www.komets.com at Comcast KometCast. Komet gamecasts begin 15 minutes prior to faceoff with the Sprint P.C.S. pregame show featuring Bob Chase in his 53rd season behind the Komet microphone.
