Center Chris D'Alvise Loaned from Thunder to Springfield

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks, announced center Chris D'Alvise (DOWL-veez) has been loaned to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League on a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

D'Alvise, 24, will make his AHL debut this weekend by entering the lineup. Springfield hosts Hartford today at 4:30 p.m. and will visit Syracuse on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound pivot was a National Conference All-Star last year, named recipient of the Thunder "Rookie of the Year" award and in 80 career games in a Thunder uniform, has scored 84 points (44g-40a) and totaled 50 penalty minutes in two seasons (2009-11).

This year, his 17 points (10g-7a) in 12 games leads the Thunder, ranks tied for sixth in ECHL scoring and his ten goals is tied for fourth in the league.

D'Alvise is the second Thunder player this season to earn a professional tryout agreement with an AHL team this season. Left winger Jason Pitton was loaned to Manitoba on Tuesday.
