For the second straight game, the Kalamazoo Wings will head to the Queen City to battle the Cincinnati Cyclones with first place in the North Division at stake. On the season, Kalamazoo is 4-0-0-0 against Cincinnati with all the contests decided by a single goal.

Winning 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday, the K-Wings pulled into a first place tie with the Cyclones atop the North Division. The victory gives Kalamazoo a record of 7-0-1-0 within the division and increased their record to 3-2-1-1 away from Wings Stadium.

Despite the overtime setback on Tuesday, Cincinnati remains unbeaten in regulation in their last seven contests, earning a record of 5-0-2-0 during that span. On the season, the Cyclones are 4-2-0-0 at the U.S. Bank Arena.

O'Neill Loaned

Defenseman Wes O'Neill has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. O'Neill, who is a former draft pick of the New York Islanders, is the third member of the K-Wings to be called up to the AHL this season.

Roster Moves

Besides the loan of O'Neill, the K-Wings have made a few other transactions. Kalamazoo has activated forward Bryan Jurynec and defenseman Steven Tarasuk off the injured reserve and placed defenseman Mitch Versteeg on the 3-Day IR.

Better to Give Than Receive

Forward Kory Karlander has recorded 12 assists. The 12 helpers places Karlander second in the ECHL in assists.

Down to the Wire

Games this year between Kalamazoo and Cincinnati have come down to the wire. So far this season, the K-Wings are 4-0-0-0 against the Cyclones, but all games have been decided by a single goal, including three games that have ended in either overtime or a shootout.
