BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Beast are set to begin their Wild Weekend promotion starting this Friday, February 20, when they welcome fans to the Powerade Centre for their first-ever Mandarin Lunar Day Celebration.
With the Chinese New Year officially getting underway today, the Beast felt this was an excellent opportunity to promote the sport of hockey to a non-traditional demographic in the Peel region and to celebrate traditional culture with their Chinese fans. Everyone in attendance will be greeted with a fortune cookie at the door to help pass on good tidings to the fans and Beast players alike, with the event sponsored by Mandarin Restaurants.
During the Beast's laser show, we will be having a Chinese-theme remix of our sound track, as well as a lantern show to accompany the lasers. Beast fans are encouraged to don as much red as possible in support of the year of the Ram and the Beast.
The fun continues throughout the weekend as Sunday the 22nd is Cal Wild jersey giveaway day, where the first 1000 fans in attendance will go home with a replica black Cal Wild Beast jersey, with his name on the back and 'C' on the front. . Monday the 23rd is School Day at the Powerade Centre and it is also the Beast's first ever sell out crowd! Tickets can be purchased online at bramptonbeast.com or by calling 905-564-1684.
