
Road Warriors Sign Forward Joey Holka

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced the club has signed rookie forward Joey Holka.
Holka, 24, earned more than a point-per-game in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) this season where he produced three goals, five assists and a +6 rating in seven contests. Previously, the 24-year old spent three games with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies. He made his professional debut on January 10th in Utah's 3-2 victory against Stockton.
Prior to turning pro, the Phoenix, Arizona native played three seasons at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Holka notched 14 points (6g, 8a) and 53 penalty minutes in 80 career games.
The 6'3, 190-pound forward also played three seasons of junior hockey in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with the Penticton Vees from 2008-2011. He registered 102 points (49g, 53a) and 192 penalty minutes in 161 regular-season contests, and an additional nine points (5g, 4a) and 28 penalty minutes in 32 playoff games.

Next Homestand: The Road Warriors return to SANDLAPPER Securities Rink at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena for a three-game "True Blue Weekend" homestand March 6-8. It all kicks off on Friday, March 6th versus the Florida Everblades. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a special edition Road Warriors True Blue T-shirt presented by FOX Carolina and WSSL. In addition, the popular "Warrior Fun Pack" is available for Friday's game and includes (4) red level tickets, (4) hot dogs, (4) bags of chips, (4) small fountain drinks and (2) Warriors' drawstring bags for just $60!
On Saturday, March 7th, the Road Warriors will again take on the Everblades and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a blue Warriors' mesh hat courtesy of FOX Carolina and WESC 92.5.
True Blue Weekend wraps up on Sunday, March 8th when the South Carolina Stingrays visit Greenville. The Warrior Fun Pack will also be available for this matinee game and fans can take part in the season's final post-game skate with the team!
