Jones Reassigned to Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS - Rookie defenseman Nick Jones was reassigned to the Indy Fuel by the AHL's Worcester Sharks, the Fuel announced Thursday. A 6'2", 200 lb. right-handed shooting defenseman from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Jones, 24, has two assists to his credit in 14 AHL appearances for the Sharks this season, along with a +2 rating and four penalty minutes.

In 22 ECHL appearances for the Fuel in 2014-15, Jones, 24, has one goal, 11 points and four penalty minutes, along with a +1 rating. Prior to his professional career, Jones logged 32 goals, 93 points and 38 penalty minutes in 156 NCAA appearances for the Mercyhurst College Lakers in four varsity seasons, from 2010 to 2014.
