NASHVILLE, Tenn. - All nine River Cats starters reached base safely Monday night, lifting Sacramento to its third-straight win over the Nashville Sounds at Greer Stadium, 8-4.

Sacramento jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after just two innings, but Nashville would tie the game at three after four frames. The Cats answered back, scoring the game's next five runs and coasting to their third-straight win in Nashville after dropping three-of-four at Memphis. The win puts them in position for their third series sweep of the season on Tuesday morning.

Eight of the nine River Cats starters recorded a base hit in the game, led by Michael Choice and Grant Green, who both had a pair of hits. Choice reached base in all five of his plate appearances, drawing three walks and scoring twice to go along with his two base hits.

Bruce Billings (3-2) picked up the win, striking out a season-high-tying eight batters and allowing just a single earned run. It was Billings' third quality start in his last four games.

The loss fell to Sounds reliever Travis Webb (0-2), who allowed the go-ahead run in the sixth. Nashville starter R.J. Seidel did not factor in the decision, extending the Sounds starters' winless streak to 31 games.

Jemile Weeks and Hiro Nakajima each went 1-for-4 with an RBI and run scored out of the 1-2 spots in the order, while Scott Moore had a seventh-inning two-RBI double. Shane Peterson was the lone River Cats hitter to not record a hit, snapping his hitting streak at 11 games.

The Cats go for the series sweep Tuesday morning, when LHP Justin Thomas (1-2, 5.25 ERA) squares off against Sounds righty Frankie De La Cruz (1-4, 7.14 ERA) at 9:05 a.m. PT from Greer Stadium in Nashville. They return home for an eight-game homestand beginning Thursday, May 16, at 7:05 p.m.
