Sacramento River Cats News Release
West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats fell to the Tacoma Rainiers on Opening Day at Raley Field, 9-4. River Cats starter Vince Mazzaro was dominant through 4 innings, allowing no hits and no runs in four innings of work before giving way to the Cats bullpen, who struggled in their '09 debut. Aaron Cunningham (2-for-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI) and Chris Denorfia (2-for-3, 3 runs) paced the Cats offense in a rainy night at Raley Field. The game was called after 8 innings due to rain and wet field conditions.
