Last Week's Recap

The Moncton Wildcats split a pair of weekend home games last week. Last Friday night in front of 6,326 fans at the Moncton Coliseum the Wildcats turned in one of their best performances of the season beating the Acadie-Bathurst Titan by a score of 4-1. Thomas Flynn and James Melindy recorded their first goals in the QMJHL while Brandon Gormley and Alex Saulnier also scored for the Cats, Shane Owen stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced for the win.

Coming off the high of a big win, the Cats turned in one of their worst performances of the season less then 24 hours after their game against the Titan, losing a 5-2 decision to the Halifax Mooseheads. The Wildcats fell behind 2-0 early and could not recover. Gormley with his 8th goal of the season and Jordan Carroll were the Wildcat's goal scorers. Shane Owen stopped 31 of 35 shots he faced before being relieved of duty by Steve Gleeson who stopped 4 of 5 shots he faced.

Wildcats' Week Ahead

The Moncton Wildcats play a pair of road games this weekend. The Cats are in Bathurst Friday night to face the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at the KC Irving Regional Centre at 7:30pm. The Wildcats have a (1-1-0-1) record against the Titan so far this season. They dropped a 2-1 shootout decision in their season opener way back on September 9th, lost 5-3 to the Titan in Bathurst and defeated the Titan 4-1 last Friday at the Moncton Coliseum.

Following Friday's contest in Bathurst the Cats travel to Cape Breton to face the Screaming Eagles on Sunday, game time is set for 4:00pm at Center 200. The Wildcats have won both meetings between these two teams so far this season. They have beat the Screaming Eagles by a score of 2-0 and 6-4, both contests took place at the Moncton Coliseum.

Subway Super Series

The Moncton Wildcats will have two players participating in this year's Subway Super Series. Brandon Gormley who has been averaging more than a point per game since returning from Phoniex Coyotes' training camp will suit up for both games, November 8th in Saint John and November 10th in Drummondville. The Wildcats' leading scorer Alex Saulnier got the call this week to play for the QMJHL team in Saint John, he will be replacing Montreal Junior forward Louis-Marc Aubry who can not participate because of an injury.

CHL Top 10:

The Moncton Wildcats appeared in the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings for the 3rd consecutive week. The Cats are 7th in the country dropping one spot from a week ago. Below is the list of the CHL Top 10:

Roar Store Holiday Hours:

The Roar Store will begin their Holiday hours this Saturday November 6th. The Roar Store will now be opened Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am - 2 pm as well as Saturday's from 9am - 4 pm. The Roar Store is also opened on game days from 12pm to the end of the game for Monday through Saturday games and 10am to the end of the game on Sundays.

Upcoming Home Games

The Moncton Wildcats are back at the Coliseum Saturday November 20th to face the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in a rematch of last years 2nd round playoff match up. Cordon Bleu is the game sponsor for the game and fans are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to have a chance to win exclusive prizes offered by Cordon Bleu. During the first intermission a lucky fan will have the chance to win a Wildcats jersey autographed by the 2010-2011 Moncton Wildcats.

Sunday November 21st the Wildcats welcome the Saint John Sea Dogs to the Moncton Coliseum where Cat fans will get to see the Sea Dogs in action for the first time since game 6 of last years President Cup final. In their only meeting of the season the Sea Dogs came out on top with a 6-2 win. It is also the second game of this year's Rivalry Cup, come out and help the Cats defend their Rivalry Cup title. Ritchies Flooring is the game sponsor for Sunday's game.
