
Castillo Hits 2 Home Runs and Captains Sink TinCaps 12-6

Lake County Captains News Release
(Fort Wayne, IN)- Ivan Castillo had four hits, two home runs, scored three runs and knocked in three as the Captains beat the TinCaps 12-6 on Sunday. Castillo's second homer capped a three run top of the ninth inning. The Captains won three of the four contests played against Fort Wayne this weekend.
Lake County scored first. In the bottom of the third inning, a fielding error on a missed catch allowed Claudio Bautista to score from third and the score was 1-0.
Lake County added four runs in the top of the fourth inning. Lake County sent eight men to the plate and scored four runs. The Captains had four hits in the inning including a bases clearing double from Clint Frazier and the score was 5-0 Captains. It became 6-0 when Mike Papi scored on a wild pitch in the top of the fifth inning.
Trea Turner hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the fifth inning and the TinCaps were on the board trailing 6-1. Lake County added on in the top of the sixth inning. Ivan Castillo blasted his second homer of the season to right field and the score was 7-1. Mike Papi added a RBI double to make the score 8-1. Papi scored on an RBI single from Eric Haase and the Captains led 9-1.
Fort Wayne came storming back in the bottom of the sixth inning. The TinCaps batted around and scored five unearned runs. The inning featured five straight hits and a costly error as five runs crossed the plate. The score was 9-6 after six innings.
RHP LHP Luis Lugo (6-9) started for Lake County and earned the win. Lugo tossed five innings and allowed one earned run on five hits. He walked one and struck out seven. The Captains used three relief pitchers in the ballgame. Justin Brantley earned a two inning save after fanning four.
LHP Jeffery Enloe (4-4) started game two for Fort Wayne and took the loss. Enloe pitched four innings and allowed eight hits, five earned runs, one walk and two strikeouts. The TincCaps used four pitchers in relief to finish the ballgame.
The Captains will enjoy their last off day of the season on Monday. On Tuesday, Lake County will welcome the Dayton Dragons to Eastlake, Ohio. The Captains will start RHP Mitch Brown (5-8, 3.72) and the Dragons will counter with RHP Nick Howard (1-0, 2.70). First Pitch is at 7:00 PM from Classic Park.
