JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Brooklyn used a four-run fifth inning and held off the BlueClaws 4-3 on Thursday night, snapping the BlueClaws six game winning streak.

Jersey Shore (8-9) had taken the first two games from Brooklyn (6-11).

Wilkin Ramos (2-0) earned the win with three scoreless innings of relief, striking out five. Manny Rodriguez earned his first professional save.

Jared Carr opened the scoring with a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Carr, who homered on Wednesday, has now hit two this season, matching his total from 2022 with the BlueClaws.

Brooklyn, however, took the lead with four runs in the fifth inning. Omar De Los Santos started the scoring with an RBI double. One scored on an error, Joe Suozzi singled home the third, and Kevin Parada's RBI double gave Brooklyn a 4-2 lead.

The BlueClaws got a run back in the sixth when Troy Schreffler scored on a wild pitch, but they couldn't get the tying run across.

Rodolfo Sanchez started for Jersey Shore and threw two scoreless innings. Sam Jacobsak followed with a scoreless third inning.

Carlos Betancourt (0-1) gave up all four runs, two of which were unearned, and took the loss.

Carr had two of the four BlueClaws hits.

The teams continue their series on Friday night at 6:35 pm.
