Carolina Mudcats News Release
Zebulon, NC --- The Cincinnati Reds have made a set of player moves impacting their Double-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats prior to tonight's game at Mobile against the BayBears.
LHP Alexander Smit has been reassinged to the Rookie-level Billings roster, while LHP Travis Webb has been promoted from High-A Lynchburg. Smit was scheduled to start Monday's finale, however Webb will start in his place. Webb was 0-1 with a 2.79 ERA over four starts at Lynchburg, and will be making his Double-A debut on Monday afternoon.
Smit was 0-2 with a 9.33 ERA over four starts this season with Carolina.
