C Korey Feiner has been placed on the disabled list with a left calf strain, retroactive to June 10th. In his place, RHP Jerry Gil has been promoted to the Mudcats from High-A Sarasota. Gil was 3-7 with a 7.74 ERA in 12 appearances, 10 of which were starts. Gil fanned 30 over 47 2/3 innings. Gil began his professional career as an outfielder in the Diamondbacks' system, reaching the majors with Arizona in 2004. Gil then played in the Southern League in 2005 and a portion of 2006 with Tennessee, and 14 games with Chattanooga in the Reds' system last season. Gil was converted into a pitcher late last season by Cincinnati.
The Mudcats remain at the Southern League roster limit of 24.
