Carlos Martinez had another great start, but Bandits couldn't hold lead.

Carlos Martinez pitched his sixth consecutive quality start, allowing just one run on three hits in six innings of work. Martinez struck out seven batters and issued just two free passes, but the Bandits lost late as they allowed two runs to Wisconsin in the ninth, losing 4-3.

The River Bandits offense collected six hits and was led by Jonathan Rodriguez. In the game, Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with two RBI while scoring a run. Left fielder Chris Edmondson went 1-for-3 in the game with a run scored. Nick Longmire went 1-for-3 and extended his hit streak to seven games.

Ryan Copeland relieved Martinez in the seventh and went two innings allowing one run on two hits while striking out one. Aiden Lucas (0-1) blew his first save of the season, and allowed two runs on two hits including the walk off sacrifice fly from Tyler Roberts (1-for-2, RBI), scoring Chris Dennis.

Martinez was opposed by Timber Rattlers starter Brooks Hall. The right-hander went six innings allowing three runs on six hits while striking out four. Hall was relieved by Brian Garman (2-2) who went three hitless innings, walking three and striking out four.

The Bandits return to action tomorrow when they continue the series with Wisconsin. First pitch is set for 6:35 at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin.
