Quad Cities River Bandits News Release


Seth Blair (4-3) no-hit the Timber Rattlers for five innings, albeit issuing seven walks and allowing one run. Blair also struck out eight in the game and the Bandits went on to win 3-2 against Wisconsin.

Blair was relieved by Angel DeJesus in the sixth and allowed one run on three hits while striking out two. Dean Kiekhefer (1)went two scoreless innings, striking out three to pick up his first hit of the season.

Blair was opposed by Timber Rattlers starter Jimmy Nelson. The right-hander went six innings allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out four.

Offensively, the Bandits were led by Jonathan Rodriguez who went 2-for-3 with a solo home run. Geoff Klein went 3-for-4 while scoring a run. Chris Edmondson went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

The Bandits return to action tomorrow when they finish the series with Wisconsin. First pitch is set for 1:05 at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin.
