New York Boulders News Release
(POMONA, NY) - The Can-Am League announced on Monday that Rockland Boulders outfielder Stephen Cardullo was named the Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending June 21. He becomes the second Boulders player to earn the honor this year after Joe Maloney took home the award in the first two weeks of the season.
Cardullo went 12-for-28 during the week, helping to propel Rockland back to the top of the league standings. The outfielder also ripped four doubles, adding a home run and three RBI to his weekly numbers. His best game came on Saturday, June 20 when he had two hits, including his lone homer, in a 10-2 win over the Shikoku Island League All-Stars.
Cardullo and the Boulders continue a seven-game home stand on Monday when they welcome in the Sussex County Miners for a three-game series. The first meeting between the two teams will take place at Provident Bank Park with a 7:00 pm first pitch.
